Unfortunately the power supply on my primary PC decided that enough is enough, so it is on the fritz. While I “do” have backup PC’s just for this occasion and am currently getting one going (if I wasn’t, you wouldn’t be seeing this, right?), any emails sent over the last few days are gone.
I just returned from Mission Bay, CA to celebrate my 1 year wedding anniversary, as well as to take a much-needed break. After signing back in to my PC, I knew something was amiss because it would re-start without warning, but after a few times, it decided to throw the white flag and surrunder. Now it won’t start at all.
Fry’s Electronics and BestBuy do not have them, and neither does Radio Shack (Radio Shack “does” have out-dated items that sometimes comes in handy), but not this time. Even they said, “Um… not only no, but hell no!”
A simple “Sorry sir, we don’t have that” would have sufficed.
So while I work to re-build everything (thank goodness I backed everything up before I left), please note that your emails sent from 07/28 through today are gone (since they’re on the hard drive where the power supply took a nose dive). That particular PC is about 11 years old and they don’t make the power supplies anymore for it.
Go figure. It’s barely been a decade. What gives? ;o)
