September Video of the Month

01 Sep

To Be Available This Weekend

The September 2010 Video of the Month has been filmed and will be available this weekend. Admittedly, all I seem to be doing lately is working on Volume 4: Biu-Tze, so forgive me for getting a bit caught up with it and not getting the VOM available today. We also filmed this month’s installment of our Distance Learning Program and all DVD’s will be going out this weekend.

DLP Biu-Tze Training

04 Aug

First 3 Movements Learned

Training lessons have been created and shipped today covering the first three movements of the Biu-Tze. Admittedly I am very excited about this landmark continuation in our Distance Learning Program because it is a new form for everyone and the stigma surrounding the Biu-Tze is usually clouded somewhat in mystery. Rightly so, to be honest, because of its function, but it is a great honor to share this curriculum with my students and I am glad that our members world-wide get to share in what the Biu-Tze is all about.

With so much to offer, you will also find that this particular training will go much faster than the Siu-Nim-Tau or Chum-Kiu. This is because even with the new concepts and applications, quite a bit requires competence in everything that came before it. Because you are already there, you will be able to grasp the learning very quickly and will find little in the way of obstacles. Instead, you will discover a refined and honed sense of power explosion due to the increased relaxation you are exposed to.

This is an exciting time so keep up your training and let me know if you have any questions.

Landmark Achievement in DLP: Biu-Tze Curriculum

DLP Sees Intro to Biu-Tze

We have reached a new landmark in our Distance Learning Program with the introduction of the Biu-Tze next month. All members who receive the latest DVD lesson will be introduced to the last stage of Lat-sau, plus the introduction to Biu-Tze section 1. This is truly an exciting time because it is the first time we have made the Biu-Tze available in our DLP!

Thus far we have covered the Siu-Nim-Tau, the Chum-Kiu, the first three sections of Chi-sau, the first three attack and defense sections of Lap-sau, and the first three stages of Lat-sau. We have also worked the basics of ground fighting and takedowns, as well as anti-grappling, anti-ground fighting, and an introduction to the first six strikes of Latosa Escrima.

Now we embark on the last stage of the introductory Lat-sau phase, and section 1 of Biu-Tze. This is an exciting time in the AWCA’s history so for all those who receive the newest lesson plan each month, get ready for a great time!
