AWCA Notebook

Our sister site at AWCA Graphic Solutions is really picking up steam, so for those needing website templates, excellent graphics, and various programs for getting the most out of our HTML-based efforts, head on over to AWCA Graphic Solutions and take a look.

The site itself includes not only the current month’s templates and programs/graphics, but also access to all previous month’s offerings. I seriously doubt that you will find anything else available on the Internet that even comes close to what is offered, especially given the price.

One of the great things about the site is also that I am almost finished creating a set of Wing Chun-oriented logos and templates, as well as generic martial arts logos and templates. These will never be offered anywhere BUT on AWCA Graphic Solutions, so if you want them, you will need to be a member.

With our annual training camp coming up next month, I will be making plans to update the weblog following each day’s training so that you can follow how things are going and what we are working on.

Additionally, you can follow us on Twitter since I will be making periodic updates as our training shifts from section to section. Personally, I think this is what makes Twitter a great information tool since special events like this can be easily kept up on by those unable to attend and curious as to what we are doing.

This year we will be focusing on Siu-Nim-Tau (day 1), Chum-Kiu (day 2), and the first four sections of Chi-sau (day 3). We will also be having some testing throughout the weekend, so good luck to all those planning to test!

After a bit over 8 months of work, the new AWCAOnline was uploaded and is now available.

Why a New Version?
Periodically you have seen new websites for AWCAOnline. This is because of changing technology and how information is delivered. Rather than having a stoic, unread site that never changes, I believe that it is important to update the site from time to time in order to take advantage of the latest technologies that become available.

With the newest technology of video feeds, the latest AWCAOnline can now drive these videos from directly within the site itself. At the moment you are seeing a basic template, but the coding is there and new pages will soon be uploaded with more videos, photos, and drills.

So stay tuned as we start launching a more in-depth training experience via AWCAOnline. It’s been a long time coming, but I am positive that it will be well worth the wait.
