eChecks (or "electronic checks") allows you to use your personal checking account to make a purchase. eChecks work exactly like writing a check out, but since the information is transmitted to PayPal and then your bank, it can take up to five (5) business days to clear.

I have seen checks clear in as little as 24 hours, but the "norm" is 3 - 4 business days. It just depends on how quickly your bank notifies PayPal that the check is cleared.

After purchase, the AWCA will receive a "Pending eCheck Purchase" notice. We are advised not to send any products until the eCheck clears your bank. Once it clears, we will then receive a "Cleared" notice, at which time your registration information is sent.

For the protection of our customers and to limit fraudulent activity, we cannot send Usernames or Passwords until we receive the "Cleared" email notice from PayPal. Please consider this if purchasing by eCheck. eChecks are excellent alternatives, so do not hesitate to use one. However, please understand that it comes with a time delay while the check itself clears your bank.
